Located at 2900 Floral Lane in La Crosse, Wisconsin, La Crosse Floral has been family owned and operated for four generations. We provide only the best Floral Designs and gifts supported by professional staff members who are knowledgeable and welcoming. Our shop serves La Crosse, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, and Stoddard Wisconsin, as well as La Crescent, Minnesota and a large number of area businesses.
La Crosse Floral continues to be named as one of the top “100 Revolutionary Garden Centers in North America” by Today’s Garden Center magazine including in 2014.
The History of La Crosse Floral
La Crosse Floral has been proudly serving the La Crosse area for 100 years. The family of our current president, Linda Zoerb, has been running the business for four generations.
We began as a corporation on May 25, 1908. The Zoerb family began its association with the company just eight years later, in 1916. At this time, Carl G. Zoerb served as secretary of the corporation. In June of 1930, management of the company passed to the Zoerb family, with Linda’s great-grandfather, Carl G. Zoerb, promoted to president. Her grandfather, John G. “Hans” Zoerb was secretary. Hans had a degree in floriculture from the University of Illinois in 1925. Hans became general manager in 1946.
In the years of 1973 through 1982, we saw increases of both the retail florist and interior plantscape sides of the business. It was during this time that Linda’s father, John, and Uncles Richard and Fritz were at the helm of the business. We still maintain many of the accounts we acquired during this time – 40 years later!
Linda Zoerb took over as president of the company on January 1, 1994.
